That’s an awesome question! Glad you asked! We celebrated our 125th anniversary as a church in October 2023, and our present downtown location has been a Billings landmark since 1922.
We love Jesus and His Word. We desire the Holy Spirit’s leading in our personal lives and mission. We desire to lift up Christ in all we do, and we seek to reach people in His name!
Our mission statement reads: ‘Leading people to be transformed and renewed by the Holy Spirit to become Christ-centered servants.’
If you attend our services, you will find people of all ages. You will experience contemporary and traditional worship styles. We have some folks who have been members their entire lives and some who are brand- new. You will discover that we are casual in clothing, friendly as heaven, and we try to live our mission statement as a church. We aren’t perfect to say the least, but we are all being transformed in Christ!
Feel free to check our Facebook page, or better yet, join us in person. We’d love to meet you! Thanks for taking the time to read our web pages. We hope it helps you to know a little bit about us.

Statement of Faith
We Believe . . .
The Trinity
God is one, and yet eternally exists, as Scripture portrays, as three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy
Spirit.
- God is Creator. He is our Heavenly Father who loves us, and is sovereign over all events, people, and time. His redemptive love is revealed throughout Scripture, in the person of Jesus, and in our lives. God is beyond our ways and finite knowledge. (John 3:16; Romans 8:31; Isaiah 55:8-9)
- Jesus Christ is God. He was miraculously conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, ministered in power and grace, died for our sins, rose on the third day, and is coming again. Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior, the only name by which we are saved. (John 1:14; John 8:58; Luke 1:35; Luke 4:40-44; I Corinthians 15:3-5; Mark 14:62; Acts 4:12)
- The Holy Spirit is God. He indwells, guides, convicts of sin, fills, and empowers us. He gives us grace gifts for ministry. He is our power for abundant living. (II Corinthians 3:17; I Corinthians 12:1-26; Romans 8:9-11)
The Bible
The Bible is God’s inspired and true Word. We affirm that Scripture alone, aided by Holy Spirit illumination, is
our final authority for faith and practice. (II Timothy 3:16)
Sin, Salvation, and Christian Life and Death
- All have sinned, come short of God’s glory, and need a Savior. (Romans 3:23)
- By accepting and confessing Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, we have a new relationship with God. The Bible describes this life transformation as being born again. Sincere believers are sealed with the Holy Spirit and are eternally secure. (Romans 10:9-10; John 3:3-5; Ephesians 1:13-14; John 10:28; Colossians 3:3)
- The Christian life is an adventure of following Christ, loving Him, and allowing the Holy Spirit to fill us with His presence. Above all, living and expressing God’s love is the highest ideal of the Christian life. (Luke 9:23; John 21:15-17; Ephesians 5:18; I Peter 4:10; I Corinthians 14:1-3; I Corinthians 13:1-8; Galatians 5:22-23)
- Upon our death, we go immediately into the presence of the Lord. (Philippians 1:23)
Eternity
- In our blessed hope, the return of Christ, and the bodily resurrection of all at the end of time, for judgment or unto glory. (Titus 2:13; Philippians 1:23; I Thessalonians 4:16-17; Revelation 20:11-15)
- Heaven, as God’s dwelling place, exists for all who acknowledge and worship Jesus Christ as their Savior. Hell is eternal separation from God, a place of eternal punishment for those who knowingly reject Jesus Christ. (John 14:16; Romans 10:9; Revelation 21:1-3; Matthew 7:21-23; Matthew 24:41; 46)
- God will create a new heaven and a new earth. (Revelation 21:1)
The Church
- Our purpose as a local church includes spiritual growth, loving one another, bringing hope and healing to others, and fulfilling Christ’s commission. (Ephesians 5:19-20; Romans 12:13-16; James 5:13-16; Matthew 28:18-20)
- Symbols of our new life in Christ are believer’s baptism by immersion in water, and the celebration of the Lord’s Supper. (Romans 6:4; I Corinthians 11:26)
- We are accountable to the wider body of Christ. We are associated with Mission Northwest, a regional network of American Baptist churches.
