Tuesday March 17, 2020  Church Services and Activities Cancelled until April 10th

Dear Friends:

Here in Yellowstone County, new restrictions have been placed on churches and places of worship, along with restrictions on businesses, activities, and the ongoing school closure. Our building is therefore closed until restrictions are lifted.

We ask that if you have a key to the building and want to come to do individual work or prayer, use your discretion.

Both Karen, our secretary, and I will be here for normal hours for day-to-day essential ministry tasks to ensure things get done and people’s needs are met. We will work hard to communicate with those who we know do not receive emails.

If you’re on Facebook, you can watch the Sunday sermon live at 10 am each Sunday (just search Facebook for “First Baptist Church Billings MT”). A number of earlier sermons are also available on Facebook, and we’ll continue to post sermons to this website for those who don’t use Facebook.

Concerning your giving. Many times when services are changed, giving is affected. And I really appreciate your consideration about this matter. We still have bills and salary obligations. You can mail your regular giving to the church – 218 N 34th Street, Billings, MT 59101.

We’ve also added an online giving capability: Givelify. You can download the app on your smartphone or click on our link to it in Facebook if you prefer to give electronically. 27,000 churches use it, and I believe it’s going to work well for FBC.

Most importantly, during this time of “change,” let’s be people of prayer:

  • That others who need Jesus Christ will turn to Him and seek His help, healing, and strength
  • For peace and civility in our community and society
  • For those in our church to have wisdom for personal health and strength
  • For wisdom to be givers not hoarders
  • For community leaders; first responders and those in decision making roles

Thank you for understanding and patience. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to call. We will post updates on this website.

God bless,

Pastor Ross

Sunday Services

Givelify

First Baptist Church Billings was founded in 1898. We currently offer two Sunday morning worship experiences: a traditional and a contemporary/charismatic service.  We welcome you to join us as we worship and fellowship together.

In our 9-10 am Traditional Service, our Choir joins us for worship from September to May. We sing hymns and simple choruses and have a prayer time and a relevant message from God’s Word.

At our Contemporary Service from 10:30 am – 12:00 pm, we incorporate a longer worship venue with newer songs, a time for prayer during and after the service, and a relevant message from God’s Word.
